People also ask

What does the El Yunque and Bio Bay tour include?

The Island Journeys combination takes about 12 hours, or 13 hours on Saturday. It includes a forest visit and an evening kayak outing at Laguna Grande. Transport serves designated pickup points. Activity equipment and forest photographs are included. Fruit, snacks and refreshments are covered; dinner costs extra.

What ages and fitness level does the Bio Bay combination require?

The El Yunque and Bio Bay combination accepts ages 8 to 70 and requires at least moderate fitness. You need to manage river wading, steep ground and large rock climbs. Kayaking requires upper body strength when currents are strong. The tour is not recommended during pregnancy or for people with heart problems.

How long do you kayak on the Laguna Grande tour?

The Laguna Grande outing includes about 30 minutes of kayaking through mangroves to reach the lagoon. The 2 hour kayak outing includes instruction and travel through the mangrove channel. That is not 2 hours spent only on the lagoon. Ask Island Journeys for the total paddling time if endurance is a concern. We recommend the combination if you can manage both rock climbs and an evening paddle.

Can I cancel the El Yunque and Bio Bay tour?

You can cancel the El Yunque and Bio Bay tour free at least 24 hours before departure. The 24-hour deadline applies to your own cancellation. Island Journeys can also cancel for poor weather or too few bookings. Ask Island Journeys about the replacement arrangements before booking if your schedule leaves no room for another day.
